Cream Cheese Ice Cream
 
 
This tastes like it has a million calories, but it doesn't.
 
5 cup    nonfat half-and-half  
2 1/2 cup    sugar  
4   beaten eggs  
3   8-oz pkg. nonfat cream cheese  
1 tsp    lemon peel  
2 Tbs    lemon juice  
2 tsp    vanilla  
  Your favorite fresh fruit (optional)  
 
In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the remaining ingredients, except the lemon juice and lemon peel. Chill thoroughly. Stir in lemon juice and lemon peel. Freeze in a 4-5 quart ice cream freezer according to the directions. Ripen 4 hours. Garnish each serving with fresh fruit, if desired. Try not to eat the whole bowl.
