Carolyn's Yummy Sunflower Salad
 
 
Every summer I visit my college buddy Carolyn and she takes the opportunity to experiment with yummy new recipes. As a matter of fact, her boys have been known to whine "Why do you only make the good stuff when Gelina comes?!" Ouch.
 
2   pkg ramen noodles, chicken flavored  
1 lb    shredded cabbage  
1 cup    salted sunflower seeds  
1 cup    slivered almonds  
1   small chopped onion  
1 cup    vegetable oil  
1 cup    sugar  
1/3 cup    vinegar  
 
Combine noodles, cabbage, sunflower seeds, almonds and onion. Mix well. Next mix oil, sugar, vinegar and chicken broth from noodles. Dump in other bowl, mix well and refrigerate overnight.
